Ho MG, just plug & play, don't worry 'bout the plastic, grover, even Robben 's fretboard isn't that dark hey?
I heard him play it for about a half hour tonight at the Tupelo Hall in NH. He switched to his Tele when Johny A came out, who was playing a plain top through a reissue Bluesbreaker. Sounded great. I hope I attached the photo of the guitar and Dumble properly??!!

Billy, the one on the right looks like yours!!:dude:
Robben mentions that he felt he should have at least one PAF Les Paul in his collection. He says he is not thrilled with the weight of a Les Paul which is why he uses his vintage SG more. :salude
I went over Johns house yesterday to grab my KTR pedal from him. Earlier on the phone, he was asking me how the new True Historics, like the one he got for the Yardbirds tour, compare to originals. I tried to explain to him they are as close as you can get with a new one sometimes. Its an impossible question. When I was leaving to go over to his house, my burst was handy as I've been using it again in one of my bands. So I just grabbed it so John could do an A/B with his TH thru his own amp, in his studio. When I got there he was pleasantly surprised I brought it. We did the A/B thru his 18 w. Then he mentioned that was going to sit in with Robben Ford that night at Tupelo. He joked that it would be a mind blower to pull my '60 out of his gig bag. So I said take it. I wasn't gonna use it last night, I planned on taking my Strat. They had fun. :salude
