• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I think LowE was going to do a Registry/website, but I tried entering the domain name that he was going to use, and it's not getting me anywhere, so maybe he changed his mind. I've saved about 25 or so pics of Rossingtons on my photo page in my computer, and even started a "Rossington Owners Group" on another forum. It seems to get little attention, as Rossingtons don't seem to hold as much interest over at MLP, as they do here. I did ask Lily if there was a way to do a Registry here, and she said she would think about it, but that was a couple of months ago, so I guess it's not practical for this Forum. I sure wish there was a way to do it. I remember similar interest in a Registry of the Duane Allman Signature Les Pauls too.

pray tell- what is the simplest way to upload jpeg photos to this forum?

Join Lilypix, or Photobucket, there you can store pictures, and post them here. Once you're set up at a site to host your pics, posting them here isn't hard at all.

Speaking of pics, one of the guys who did respond at my Rossington Owners Group, submitted this photo of himself playing his Rossington with Ed King. Pretty cool! He said Ed played the Rossi and loved it!

Steve- Thanks for the photo info-
Let's just try and organize a basic registry here
as a Historic thread.
It make sense to at least attempt to include the related
Rossington GR serial # with each photo

Perhaps this could lead to the book Beauty of the Rossington-(lol)

btw
Got any photos of Bernice?
Obviously that should be first-
Then the Murphy Prototype
Then the Forum members Rossingtons -
Finally all under one roof - for all the forum to enjoy (or not) (lol)

I hope that in order to prevent this thread from getting controversial, we keep any discussion of money out of it, and just enjoy the "Beauty Of The Rossington"

We got pics! Here's my GR 180, and yes she's backwards! Modified with old parts including PAFs, and Buzzy inlays.

I've got 366 photos in my Rossington folder. There are about 35 different guitars that I have identified by their serial number, and quite a few more that I have photos of, but don't have them identified by the serial numbers. Once a website has been created, I could upload the photos (assuming that its appropriate to post photos of other peoples guitars).

I have a pic of the prototype (I think) from the Gibson Catalog that has a Rossington in it, but the photo is too small. Perhaps someone else has it?

Here are photos of the prototype. This very guitar was on the Gibson Trailer when it came to my town about 5 or 6 years ago.

IIRC, GR002, was selling on eBay in Australia. Yep, four lefties out of 250. I am the original owner of GR 180. I got her in July 2004 from Saul at Centre City Music in San Diego, CA. All four lefty Rossingtons came from CC Music, as he was the only dealer to request any lefties. Their serial numbers are:GR115, GR116, GR180, and GR181. The PAFs came from Randy Peterson, thru my friend John Heuring, but not at the same time. I bought the neck PAF six months ago, from John, when he decided to sell his Max replica. The PAF was in his Max, and John had gotten the pickup from Randy. The bridge PAF came to me about three months ago, directly from Randy, with John's help. I don't have the Deluxe or the Tremolux amps in that photo any more. They were great amps, but they were sold when I got my Marshall.

That's the picture I was talking about! Thanks for posting it. Funny how the marks on the body are in the right place on the protoype, but wrong on all the others.

This one, #GR 172, was for sale at Jet Engine Sound, in Japan recently. It's one of the coolest top I've ever seen on a Rossington.

This one, IIRC, is GR111 belonged to a Forum member, and had PAFs in it at one time.
