• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

It's been a while since I've been around here, been working on music and spending less time with guitars. I'm in the process of selling a lot of my stuff after closing down one large studio and dealing with the space restrictions in the new, smaller place. I'm down to the stuff I really like, which makes getting rid of it even harder.

Which is the reason for my question - I have a very nice '59 330 in original condition except for a non-factory but period correct Bigsby. One sound post under the bridge professionally added, easy to remove, but I like what it does. I've owned it for almost fifteen years. Prices on reverb and Gbase are all over the place - even single pickup 330's are close to $10k - and it's hard to figure out what to ask. Even the usual 25% discount to reverb/Gbase asking prices just seems silly. The guitar is in the UK, which theoretically means a higher price, but also means fewer potential buyers.

Has anyone actually bought or sold a 330 in the '59 - '62 period recently? I'd like to move it quickly but don't want to leave a lot of money on the table.

I'm only selling this because I have a '50 ES-300, which some of you played in Manchester a few years back - it's an even better 2-pickup P-90 guitar for my purposes.

Thanks,

Myles

Myles, I'll be speaking to another member here over the weekend that's bought two in the last 12 months, one very recently, so he'll have some idea of the dough side of things.

I'll ask him to drop into the thread if he's of the mind to contribute.

Take it easy Pal.

Thanks, Paul! That would be incredibly helpful.

Nice to see you again Myles.

Nice guitar. Does this actual sales price summary help? It may be for single pickup version - Reverb doesn't distinguish so well. If it doesn't help, ask me to delete it! LOL

That is good - I'd forgotten about that feature - I guess the only question is whether it's from asking prices or selling prices. Here's the one for TD's (like mine)... and I suspect the $22k price was for a TDN (blond/natural).

Very cool guitar! The perfect couch gtr!
You might want to check the FON # inside, if it's all original I suspect it's a 1960 model, due to the reflector knobs.
'59 FON starts with S, '60 FON starts with R. More info at guitarhq.com
