• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Should I stay or should I go? (0 7437 content)

Well, I might of course fill the 4 holes with 1/2 carat diamonds.. :D
I could imagine small pearloid /MOP dots might be nice. Just like the large dots used to cover up stop-tail studs when a Bigsby is present.
That's a nice looking '60! Congratulations! Play swiftly with a loud noise!

Congrats on a beautiful guitar! I would leave the holes. The biggest cost would be having to live without it while waiting for your luthier to get it finished. I've been through that before and life is too short...

Thanks guys for all your valuable input. :)
I have decided to leave the holes totally AS IS. They are part of the guitar, and have been there for who knows how long. At least 20-30 years. And this way, I can't do something I might regret later.

I concur in your decision, it's one that you can live with and you won't need to worry about regret. The holes are indicative of what so many others from that era also bear. "If it ain't broke don't fix it" applies to both!
