Nice looking strat PJ. I like that your can see the grain.
I'd gig that strat for sure.

Nice Strats del Melo. I think the Whisky and the Corona put those Strats over the top.
REALLY nice!!!!
Here's another couple of shots for you showing off the wear. It's very light and plays great. The '64 is the real killer though. Everybody who plays it wants to buy it off me. It is the biggest sounding strat I've ever heard and I've heard many...
it's interesting that you feel that way about your '64. I have one, and like yours it really sounds big. In fact, I'm usually disappointed when I play other Strats.
The vintage world gets enamored with slab-boards and overlook how great sounding the veneer's are. Jimi @ Monterey, plus the three studio records, were done on mid 60's Strat's.
It's not just coincidence that one of the more well regarded Strat PU's Fender has made in a long time (and my current favorite) are the Pure Vintage '65's.
If you can, read through this, http://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/late-64-early-65-strats.526192/.
I feel under-dressed for this thread...
