• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Yeah right? Adam Jones is a boss though...on a side note, recently got to see Puscifer live in San Diego!

Btw, I'd love to see more shots of that Silverburst!

Tool: Obviously not a whole lot of lead playing, but killer live band. Saw 'em in Oakland and Sacramento on Lateralus... Crushing guitar tones live... Silver burst w/SD JB and Diezel amps...

i love tool, they may be my favorite band. but when i play guitar you wouldnt be able to tell that i listen to them. i think silverbursts look cool. but because of my love affair with tool i feel like if i got one i would be ripping adam off.

dont forget that adam plays 2 diezel amps and an original bass plexi 1986.

Killer Silverburst! Have had it out all week. Sounds fantastic. The neck pickup is strong, middle-position sounds great and really able to coax nice tone from. The bridge p/u drops off a bit by itself. Good, even tone, but definately drops in volume compared to other 2 postions.

Probably need to raise the p/u height some.:wah

Loving the guitar!

Silverbursts remind me of Soundgarden- who I love. I don't want one, but there is something about them I like. Some people bash things they don't like because they don't get it but they lash out because they want to. I try to not do that, but I wish I felt them. If that makes any sense.

Looks like you are correct. This is not a pancake. I was told it was, but inside the cavity it is clearly mahogany. It does have a 3 piece maple neck and the volute. Can anyone help with details? Serial number 83180631 factory second:

Nice!
One piece non weight relieved body, 3 piece top, 3 piece maple neck, made in Nashville, Gibson marked Schaller tuners, a Schaller made Nasville Tuneomatic, with 2 Patent Number T Top pickups and 100K tone and 300K volume pots.
And the sickest finish Gibson ever offered.:yah

Someone changed the tuners to gotohs and the pickups to EMGs, but I tossed those and put in BKP Mules and Jenson oil caps for now. It is a great guitar and sounds considerably better than my classic. Anyone know what these markings in the cavity mean?
