• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I really do like the black parts on it.
What color is the back?
She's a 2007 R6, that I refer to as my "Ship Of Thesius" . Refinished, relic'd, Buzzy inlays, routed for humbuckers, "Gibson logo lowered to vintage-correct location. It probably still has the original three-way switch, otherwise everything's been changed. The back color is natural, though I would go dark-back if I had it to do all over again. I had all vintage parts on it (except the pickup rings) at one time. Even a beautiful original Lifton case. Was fun to bring it to guitar shows and watch the dealers go nuts trying to figure out what it was. I dealt her off for a 2013 R8 that Historic Makeovers did their magic on, and eventually got her back in a trade for an amp. The vintage parts had been sold off, and she was dressed in black by that owner. I like the look, plus, of the four known PAF lefty goldtops built in 1957, one is equipped with black plastic, so she'll stay this way.
I'll never let this one go again, but she doesn't get the play-time that she deserves these days. My go-to guitar is my original 1964 ES-345. I looked for an affordable vintage 345 for a dozen years before I landed this beauty.

My old girl, 52/57 Dave Johnson conversion. Gets gigged most weekends. Great playability on this one and it really sings.

Some really stunning Goldies here!!

I agree. I had to start with a burst. Nothing vintage here.
But a Goldtop was second!
Mine is a 2016 Standard that has the push pull electronics that I like.
