This threadIt would be nice to see some pictures of the problem in order to see exactly what the complaint is
Holy cowThis thread
shows a good picture of the problem, post #23.
Not what I would be happy to live with.. YMMV.
Thanks for posting these shots.
No no no, you got me wrong. This is not my guitar. I should have mentioned it (will edit the original post). I found the pictures on a similar thread on the gear page, here:Ohhhh!!
I feel sorry for you wild.joz you have spend a small furtune and got a guitar with unaceptable flaws.
Send the damn thing back and get a refond, buy a decent R8 or R9 then send it to Historic Makeovers
to get a guitar that both looks and feels old. Those guys know what they are doing compare to the
clown Tom Murphy.
Appalling, maybe. That's something that absolutely should not happen on a brand new guitar. IIRC the ES 295 in the all-gold is somewhat prone to this; the folish flaking off, but again those are the old ones that it happens to.Yuck and not desirable . I wonder if fellow Forum members find this appealing enough to purchase ?
OK, then I feel sorry for the owner of that guitar.........No no no, you got me wrong. This is not my guitar. I should have mentioned it (will edit the original post). I found the pictures on a similar thread on the gear page, here:
