I have a 356 with an upper strap button located at the heel of the neck like a 335 (i.e. not on the horn).

Is there a strap locking solution that won't change or tilt the way the guitar hangs off the strap? I'm concerned that either Dunlops or Schallers will stick out so far from the body that the guitar will want to tilt forward.
:hmm

What do people use on 335s ?

I use the dunlops, and I'm fine with them.

I usually change them pretty soon after getting a guitar though, so i could just be use to the dunlops and not notice the shift.

Same thing here. First thing that goes on any guitar I bring home are a set of Dunlop StrapLoks. I put a set on my new ES-335 a few weeks ago, and haven't noticed anything odd in the way it hangs off my body. I'm guessing that even if it did tilt, it's not an issue when you play. Your picking arm just naturally hugs the upper body towards you, and your fretting hand does the rest. But, honestly, I haven't had any problems whether I was playing it or standing there with it.

Thanks guys. Dunlops it is. I just wanted a "second opinion" on balance before messing with the install.

I've used these since the 70's. They are just what you need for not changing the hang angle of your 356. They cost less than $5 ea and they last for deacdes.

OTOH, hanknc has a valid idea about the little red gaskets from Grolsch beer bottles. For about the same cost as one of my leather Straplocks you can get two Grolsch beers, but then you'll have to do something to get rid of all that beer.
