• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I honestly never liked Tele's when I was younger.

Then a few years ago I got one.

Not vintage like these beauties, but my God!

I understand them now...

Those are amazing!

Tele's are amazing. In addition - the '59 is my first Esquire, and it is also amazing - quite different sound than a Tele (brighter, bolder) - in a good way! The theory is there is less magnetic string pull because of the single pickup.

I played a 59 Esq at some orchid guys house in FL- Makes me want to pull the neck PUP out of my tele.
Spectacular Mike.

Beautiful Esquires (and amps!), Mike.

I really like Esquires but Fender has not had a regular production model that I am aware of for a long time outside of a MIM series that ran for a few years. Have had a few Squiers that are decent enough for the price like the 60's Custom model from CME as pictured here in a case. Then a couple of years ago Fender offered a 70th Anniversary editon that is a fine guitar with a nice fat neck.

Let's see some more. Please post your Esquire!

The Esquire always was one of my favorite guitars.
Several years ago I owned an Esquire built by german master luthier Joerg Tandler,
but one day traded it in for another guitar that is long gone.
Regret it until today.
So Mike , your '59 Esquire is my favorite here.

Think Jeff Beck in THe Yardbirds. But this here isn't bad either.

Wow what a collection of rock and roll machines!!! Thanks for posting the pic Mike! What I can't figure is what guitar you pick up and play first :)

“Tele” us all about which one sounds the best!

I dig the looks of the ‘65 Custom!
They all play and sound great. I'm currently having lots of fun with the Esquire. Played it quite a bit last night with band rehearsal. I've never been a single pickup guitar lover, but this guitar sounds like it's from another planet!

Here's some fun on my MIM reissue with Seymour Duncan; This thing barks squawks like nothing else!
