• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Thought i'd share this.
I put in matched TVT "true vintage taper" pots in my early 2009 R8 yesterday.
After removing the old wiring harness, and begin to solder the new harness i placed the guitar in a other room were there is fluorescent light tubes, and noticed this:

She's a "brockburst" / "bourbonburst" and though the fade is minor.. the red does fade.
Also the yellow/amber centersunburst colour is becoming more greenish.
I'm the original owner, have her since august 2009 and the guitar is played and loved every day.

Color Still looks great.

Did that guitar ever have dye bleed over the binding?

No binding bleed, but i've seen it on other 09's when i was searching for a R8 back then.
