• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The new Gibson. They have no interest in being price competitive

Maybe, but I wouldn't pay money to do it.
I wouldn't either. I've never been a big Metallica fan, and if I'm being completely honest, I would rather spend a couple of hours getting a lesson with Lyndsey Buckingham than Peter Green.

I remember when I was in 7th or 8th grade, finding a pile of records when I was walking to school. Rumors was in there, and I spent about two months figuring out Never Going Back Again. Maybe three years ago I worked with the new Fleetwood Mac. Mike Campbell is a cool guy and a great player, but it's just not the same. I made a thread last summer when I worked with Stevie Nicks and she has Waddy. I would rather see him than Peter Green and Lindsey at the same time. Super nice and professional bandleader. The highlight of my year.

How many classic records did this white 74 make?

Love 'em both, but... I got one more because of Buckingham than Rhoads.

LOL. I've met Peter Green... he signed my guitar... and it didn't cost me a penny.

When I first started playing, I used to buy strings in singles, and only when they broke.

It was 10 years before all the strings on my guitar were the same age.

I still have the same enthusiasm for this game that had me hooked from the first kiss in the 70's when I was a bit of a kid without a pot to piss in.

Sometimes the stars align and the guitar and the scatter are in the same place at the same time - that's the logistics of the thing, and has little to do with my love of a great guitar.

I still maintain that playing Greeny will never be topped in this life. Sod all to do with price. I play because of Peter Green's playing - I heard him on the radio as a kid and just knew that's what I wanted to do. It was a beginning. I'm grateful that I still have that childlike view of things, it endures. If this shit was easy I'd have lost interest decades ago.
