• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Mark Agnesi and Gibson Guitars did a cool video of Forum Sponsor Carter's Vintage Guitars.

It's a fun watch!

Nice editing work.

Keeping agnesi’s over cooked on camera attitude to a minimum is smart.

It’s a subtle thing. maybe some acting classes would help tone it down a bit? Or a better director to keep the shoots laid back and easy?

Did not seem that way to me at all. Seemed like two dudes talking to me.

I don’t know agnesi got no beef with him.

he simply does not come across good on camera. Which is odd since his front of camera work with norm’s was pretty good.

the scripted stuff comes off very phony. Conversational? Not as much. But it seems like there’s an underlying agenda instead of an honest conversation.

Which is is why I suggested a different director. The director should be able to get agnesi to deliver the kind of “talk” he’s capable of.

Even his short lived utube series was better than the Gibson vids

just my opinion. You can like whatever you want

I think you've missed the point of the video.

the point?: it's a PR vehicle for Gibson.

ANY of these efforts should be optimized...or you're wasting the time and money on production.

remember "#play authentic"??

it's an objective observation.....and a mild bit of constructive criticism. minor. intended to be gentle and non threatening.

I have bought several Goldtops from Carters and have spoken with Walter & Christy. They are super friendly, knowledgeable and first class in my book. Carter's is on my bucket list for a visit this year if I can stay healthy.

Best that you contact Gibson directly and see if they're in any way interested in your thoughts about it.

I had intended to go to the Vintage Guitar show in Ft. Worth in October but this covid19 gets in the way of that.
Would have gone on to Nashville and visited all the stores there, Grand Ole Opry and Ryman etc...........maybe 2021 huh!!
