• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Not much going on here today. I get my first Fauci Ouchie tomorrow morning. I'm thankful for that. My wife has had both of her vaccinations so hopefully we'll back to semi-normal soon.

I've been using the quarantine time to really apply myself and work on some guitar and music things that I wanted to dive deeper into but didn't have the time when we were playing out a lot. Spent a lot of this effort wrapping my head around Jerry Garcia's playing. Let's just say I've rediscovered the flat 3rd.

My wife and I both completed the double Moderna a week ago with no ill effects so life goes on.
I wonder if the exile will end.

A bit late to the party but...

Mild weather yesterday. Finally got some time to relax. Work has been horribly rough these last few weeks.

Went with the missus for lunch at my old folks’, then rewatched some Supernatural (I love that show) on Amazon and in the evening I went the ‘wine and guitar’ route...

I shamelessly binged on a webcomic author's other projects. Finally emerged from my stasis today. Though I did take breaks and worked on Still I'm Sad (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow version). Ruthlessly windy out there this past couple of days. We had a tiny taste of spring and Old Man Winter's pretty pissed off about that.

J&J a week ago. I felt like I was in headwind two days later but that was about it.
My wife was afraid my ears would fall off.
They didn't.

I got Phizer a couple months ago. (I work at a senior living community [they hate the term facility] and we got all the residents and all but one staff vaccinated.)
|Other than a sore arm for a day or two, no problems with me or most of the residents. One other staff was down for the count for a couple days after the second.

I'm getting #1 in about two hours. I was hesitant, because I'm not sure it's needed, but the big hand reached out to me and told me they've got one with my name on it. And since I like to travel, many airlines and cruise companies are now requiring proof of vaccination.

I get my second Moderna tomorrow.

Adventures in dating when you're almost too old to rock and roll but stil too young to die: I'm going to spend the weekend near Nashville with my girlfriend; we've been taking turns to make the drive. Eharmony matched us, and the algorithms did a scary-good job of it. Uncanny.

Wow, well that progressed quickly! Have fun, stay safe.

BTW, I found my old LPF profile - dating back to 2008. Linked to an old email address so can't seem to reconstitute it.

And....here's my old profile. Of course, now that I've set up a new account with my current email coordinates just today, I can't update this account with my current email. Going to have to do a multi-step work around to update my profiles. Then kill the new account.

I'm going to keep using this handle until I can kill the new account or make a name change on that one (on 24 April).

This is my IRL nickname anyways.

Hoping to make a road trip to Nashville this Summer. My birth-mother is moving to Hendersonville in June and we're going to go down and visit her. I've only spent a total of around two hours once when we got to meet, but we'll spend a few days down there. I will also get to meet a sister I've never met. I figure we can bring the Mustang and take a cruise through the Smoky Mountains on the way down.

Congrats to all the friends who already got the vac, and hoping everyone else gets it soon.

I'm wondering if we should start the Sunday thread every Sunday as we did on TFF or make this one a permanent

I vote for permanent as well. I do like the connection to Sunday, but maybe we’ll all check in more often?

I'm good with permanent. I won't have to get up early and rush to the computer in an attempt to get one started each week. :)
