• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Well, it's Sunday again. Slept in and getting to watch Formula 1. After that I'll be getting tackle ready for the season. I've also been made aware that the Honey Do list needs my attention. Get my second shot in two weeks and then off to the blue water two weeks after that. In the mean time we'll work inshore for spring Chinooks.

Rain here today, after one of the nicest days of the year yesterday. I actually got outside and did some yard stuff. Also filled a large recycle Bin with cut up Amazon boxes. Then I labeled all my guitar cases and watched "the Dig" on Netflix. That was pretty good. Not sure what's on tap for today - the wife has church and they let about 50- people in for in-person services and the rest go online. We both still need our second shot, so we are trying to stay low-key for a while longer. I did my first in-person training last week - the first since last April. It was nice actually working with people. It was a large community room so we were well spread out and masked, so it felt safe. I may copy and past this over to the TFF in case some people haven't migrated over already... have a good week!

Lazy Sunday mawning here. A few clouds and temperature is going down slowly. Probably gonna get some rain in the afternoon.

Took some time to water my cacti and in a few minutes me and the missus will be having some Madeira sauce steak for lunch.

Both my old folks took their first shot. I’m still waiting for my turn.

Later I’ll probably exercise some acoustic blues and watch Supernatural on Amazon. I can’t stop seeing this show over and over again.

A late start for me today. Cool, grey and rainy today. Good test for the new roof! Got all my patio stuff set up yesterday but won’t be using it today. Typical March/April weather for sure. Last traces of snow are quickly disappearing.

Working on some new music today with my mates - got a Bond-ian downtempo thing happening. Working on nailing a reasonable Bond theme guitar tone, adding some horns and kettle drums (those are virtual). Nothin’ else on the go today. Have a good one!

I know that feeling!

I just got home from an emergency service call.

Apparently I’m out of clean work socks so I’m wearing my fancy dress socks with my work clothes!

Count your blessings gents. I was supposed to get my first Pfizer shot on Thursday, but Wednesday night developed a cough. Thursday morning body-aches, and off to get tested. Both tests showed positive, so I'm hunkered down in the basement in exile until Saturday. Thankfully, my case of covid has been mild, not much different than a cold. No fever, still can taste and smell. Worst part is the body-aches, which come in waves. Sometimes, bad enough that I squirm trying to get comfortable. Advil has been a help, but I've taken so many that I don't want to take any more. Today, even without pain-killers hasn't been too bad.

I use the traditional black and gold LPF color scheme.
The forum software can be a bit confusing. The "traditional" scheme is a dark (black) background, but there is also a "dark" theme. Huh? With my browser, I sometimes find that I can't access certain features, like quoting, font size, color, etc. And if there's a multi-quote feature here, I haven't found it.

I did switch to the light theme briefly, and was going to rethink my choice of posting style, but then I said to heck with it. Gold on white is still readable, even if it isn't easily so.

Is this our one, lone thread here or is there a Fender related post that I’m missing? I visited our old digs and saw that even the Fender information has disappeared.

No, there are basically two TFF "official" threads so far. This one and the Lounge:

Which old digs are you referring to?

Chwillie, I'll be in the 'Ville on about the 28th-29th of June, then on to Memphis to see Sun Records. Then driving to see "the Crossroads" which so I've been told is not too impressive, and then down to Gulfport on the eventual way to 'nawlins. It's a rock -n- roll road trip with my GF this summer.
