• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Rhinestone, Sérgio is the greatest cheerleader for TFF we could ever have had. He reaches out to our friends who havne't posted in a while and encourages them to re-join. Who could not love Sérge?

I guess I'm just a dumbass! :D

Oh, wow, looks like I'm starting the 4-25-21 Sunday thread

Got Pfizer shot #2 yesterday. Far smoother transaction this time. I drove up and basically didn't stop until I was 50 feet from the tent. In and out in less than 45 minutes.

I was a little stiff getting out of the car but I attributed that to about 2.5 hours of driving. Later that evening I was falling asleep before I had dinner. My brother went out and got me some food. I had originally entertained the idea of going out for a drink to celebrate. Never happened.

Left arm is really sore today. I've been taking tylenol every 6 hours, hydrating and taking it easy. I'm a little stuffy but that is most likely due to the rising pollen tsunami. I thought I was feeling a little warm but my temp's normal. Ate some breakfast and feel all right. Just a little fuzzy like I had been drinking last night but I didn't. It's raining right now or else I'd go for a walk.

In about 2 weeks, I'll be playing guitar through an amp again. So psyched.

Good morning! There is another Sunday thread over at TFF this morning, probably why you got this one rolling this AM. Getting shot #2 on Monday and stitches out on Tuesday. Hopefully my reaction to shot #1 allows me to get to the doc on Tuesday.

how did you get there? I'm still seeing the warning "this connection is not private" warning

in order to visit, I have to modify my certificate trust settings. I don't know if that's specific to this one site or global.

I just click the "go there anyways" button (forget what it's called) and I get right in.

Dan, do what I do: Use a different browser. Some (Firefox, maybe?) won't let you proceed. Others, Chrome/Chromium will warn you, and let you continue. It's only a warning that the certificate has expired, not that the site is down or compromised.

Good luck on #2, GJ. I got mine (Moderna) on Friday. A sore arm and a little fatigue (cured by a nap yesterday) and I'm as good as new.

Chillin like a villain today. Another grey, rainy Sunday after an active, beautiful Saturday.

Continuing to work on a Bondian ballad/original with my collaborators. Laid down a crispy 60s bassline (P with flats, dry and an accentuated top end) and have been sprinkling horns and spaghetti western guitar here and there. Using the Spitfire BBCO plug in for the orchestral stuff. Totally out of my usual comfort zone so a nice challenge!

I’m a week and a half out from my Pfizer #2 and stick in this twilight zone of waiting for the signal to start chemo. Got the news in March that my oncologist was going to move ahead and it’s been Hurry up and wait ever since.

It is a beautiful, sunny, sub 50° day here behind the cheddar curtain so we took my wife’s Corvette (1st time out of the garage this year) out for a Sunday morning brunch run with our Corvette club. It was a fun morning with 45 members and guests attending. Hope you all have a great week.

Guys, I think we should focus on posting at TFF now. Judging by Mike's last reply (it's been mentioned before), we should all relax. Our forum will be fixed.

Hopefully soon, I miss that place, but I won't go near it until it's secure.

TFF has been constantly hit by bots for at least the last year or two. That’s a moderation issue to clean that up but also shows some security issues. I personally don’t have a lot of trust in a system that allows bots to automatically register and post crap. Who knows what else is being dumped onto TFF - or being taken away. Just not secure. Unless the entire platform is secured and upgraded, there’s too many risks for my liking.

We might as well get used to the fact that this is now THE morning thread. lol. I was playing with my dog Keevo (80lbs) and my daugter's dog Beau (110lbs). They were going nuts and slidiing across the floor, and they slid into me. It was cartoon-worthy. I fell backwards, hitting an edge hard, so hard that I was almost certain that I had broken something or torn my rotator cuff. My gf drove 2 hours to take me to the hospital. X-rays showed nothing broken, but I'm deeply bruised and can't move in certain ways because it makes me scream. ha ha. I"m so fortunate that it hit my upper back. If I'd hit that hard in my lower back, I was have broken something there. I hit vurrrrrrry hard. I HATE being immoble. I can see every job in my house and yard that needs my attention.
