• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Great job, so how much to fix it, if you don't mind saying.
$700. I added a nice tip on top of that for such a great job. If I had a vintage '59 Les Paul I would trust Matt with it. When it broke some pieces of wood flew off and I found most of them. but there were a couple pieces from the back and the front I could not find. Even with that the break line is invisible. Truly remarkable, masterful work.

That is absolutely remarkable. I can't imagine a better reference than those before and after photos!

There are a lot of guys who look for clean Historics with headstock breaks who (gasp) want to play them. A property repaired headstock break won't affect playability but will significantly lower market value. Great way for a player to get into an otherwise expensive guitar.
I specifically looked for a repaired R8 to refin in Fiesta Red.... saved about $1500 over typical R8 prices.

Looks killer! I'm shocked how disgusted folks are by the idea of a repaired neck. The Gibson neck design all but guarantees a break if you play it hard, or just have an accident. Get it fixed, keep on going. These CS Les Pauls are expensive, but not to the point they're collectibles and not instruments. Fix and rock!
