• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

They are still out there!

These two found their way into my home yesterday. I bought them sight unseen from an estate sale. Both fired up great and give up the BF goods. The PR does have a replaced baffle, but other than that, all the transformers and circuits look great! It was too good of a deal to pass up! Both amps have no logo's and date stamps of OC. Components date to early '65 or late '64 have have the FEI faceplate. They will fit in well! Game on!

Does anyone know where I can find a pice of correct grill cloth for the PR?

I thought the baffle and grill cloth looked like they had been replced on the PR? Someone on the BF FB page thought they looked straight? Anyone care to weigh in? Yes, I have the original speaker, this a replcement so I cam dime the emp.

Great amps, congrats!

Sorry, no idea about whether the PR's grill cloth is original or not. My 1964 Pro had the original particle board changed out to plywood, but the original cloth was re-installed. Maybe that's the case with yours? ( or maybe both your board and cloth are original ) I'm sure somebody will be able to figure it out...

Fantastic! šŸ˜Ž

I wonder if there's anything else music related in her attic? Brown Gibson or Fender tweed case perhaps?...
I wish, not that lucky! I would have jumped on any tweed!

Nope, a 10 inch. I do however have a '68 PR that I put a 12 inch baffle a speaker! That is a cool combo for sure!

thats awsome! out of an estate? love it! i wonder if they were bought new together?
the easy tell on the repro cloth is the staples are to skinny and silver instead of black, also cloth and baffle, not even close.
then she finds the original baffle/cloth!! so cool. one time i bought a mint silverface vibrolux reverb it wouldnt turn on so he gave it to me for 200 dollars, as i was walking out he said hey wait i have the original panel for it.. panel?.. he comes from downstairs with a mint black faceplate! said he wanted to keep up with the times when silver plates came out so he bought one and tucked the black plate away. shwing!
