• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

This new R0 is MINE now ...

... because I just gave it its first ding, right up by the G-string tuner.

I managed to ding it on a music stand in the rehearsal room on campus where I am a professor ... political science, if anyone's asking.

I can recall a time in my younger days when this would make me sick ... I actually laughed this time. I'm not happy it happened, but these days, what the hell! Life's too short (especially as the years pass) to let it get to me too much anymore.

Being that it took me about 30 seconds to find said ding, even after you describing where it was, I'd say you could do better(worse) in the ding department next time! LOL

Don't bother, it's a little, invisible thing. If you'd see what I (accidentally) did to mine after a month or so, you'd probably be crying :rofl
Maybe I'll post you a pic, just to make sure you're not too much worried about that super little ding :headbange

Now that you've got the "first ding" out of the way you can ease up and enjoy it! The first is always the worst!

If the headstock/neck were missing, I'd call that a "ding". .. Play through! :salude

DocJ, I should have never opened my mouth, and I am sure I have cursed myself. Just got a 50th. R0 yesterday and it is perfect, not even a tiny mark on the pick guard. Let's see how long THAT lasts.
When I give it the first ding I will post it here . Wish me luck.

Luck to you! Some people seem to have thought I was upset about it ... though I said I just laughed when it happened. I was not at all pleased that I had just slammed my one-week old guitar into a music stand, but what could I do about it? Be more careful the next time, and otherwise just move on. BGReed had some sage advice as well ...
