• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

dude…
you started lpf. the folks who were here from jump will never forget that fact.

dunno how lilly went all digital colonialist and basically stole it but that’s when lpf changed.

we used to get into some gothic beefs here during the salad daze of the lpf. lilly fucked this place up. sanitized it. folks were straight w/ each other even if it was ugly.
Thanks. Those early days were pretty awesome even though at times I was wondering what the fuck I got myself into. LOL All that other bullshit is water over the dam at this point. It is what it is.
Getting out allowed me more time to pursue other things like building guitars, winding pickups, building amps and pedals. To be honest, if I had stayed I'm not sure I could have done those things.

Rehearsing for some charity gigs in Michigan.
Our music is classic rock/pop, 1950's thru 1990's or so.
I am a very average guitarist/vocalist, but am blessed with four bandmates who are superb musicians (drums, bass, lead guitar, vocalist) that push me and up my game.
Playing music is a wonderful gift. I feel blessed to be able to do so.
always surround yourself with people from whom you can learn.

I come back so say “hi” every so often. I learned a lot here and spend more time now doing it and less reading/talking about it. I also have grandkids and many grand nieces/nephews who occupy my time and must be properly trained to inherit my guitars
