Thought on this "original owner" '68 LP w/ humbuckers that sold for $5,000?

That's not a 1968 model and the seller has a feedback score of 1.

Looks more like 69 with this wider headstock.

Clearly not a 68. Big headstock.

I always thought the i dot went before the big headstock came in. My 69 has no dot and small headstock. Checking Moons site it seems around the same time. I don't think I've seen another big HS with a dot before.

Is it just me or does the dot on this one look more like an oval? haha

Regarding the dot and its relationship to the big headstock, I honestly can't remember at the moment. I'll try to remember to look through my notes later, crazy weekend, so disclaimer, I may forget to get back. hahah
