I just came across these & they sound pretty good in the LPs they were playing. Anyone have these in their guitars? I'm seriously considering them. They have Alnico 2's in them.

Out of curiosity why did you buy these vs. any of the other prominent brands? Such as OX4 which are excellent pickups and lower cost.
Actually I'm on the Tom Holmes waiting list (due around 2027!) for a set of pickups. I had had a Holmes 456 & sadly sold it. To me that pickups was just something else, magical. AWESOME tone! So that's what I eventually want. In the meantime, I wanted to pop something in there without breaking the bank. I considered various brands, and watched videos etc. I saw several with the Brickhouse & I absolutely loved the tone. The other thing was, I messaged David Shepherd the maker himself through Reverb & he responded quickly. I was impressed not only by the prompt response, but by the questions he asked me after I asked him questions. He truly seemed like he was interested in me & the tone I was pursuing. He even sent me links to some pots that he recommended I have installed along with the pickups. In either case, that pretty much sold me on the Brickhouse 1960 set. Hope that helps.

As a follow up to this post, I barely had them installed in my guitar. It's not a Les Paul, but it is a PRS DGT SE. It took a very good PRS guitar and made it a GREAT guitar, at least for me. I do NOT have a desire now to upgrade to a Core PRS DGT. I had the Brickhouse Toneworks 1960s installed along with a CTS 550K pot installed as per Mr. Shepherd's recommendation. When I plugged the guitar in to my rig was a DRASTIC change for the better. The response when using the volume and tone knobs was excellent. The sound is crisp and has very good definition with the hot channel. There is a very good overdrive and distortion while retaining clarity. I'm totally sold on these pickups. I doubted my purchase at times thinking I should have waited for my Tom Holmes, but at this point I do NOT have a need to change anything else on my guitar. The combination of the pickups, pots, and the treble bleed along with the great construction of the PRS make me want to play a lot more now.
I'd highly recommend the Brickhouse pickups. At least consider them and do not hesitate to message David Shepherd. He's great at responding to queries.

Interesting. Are you still going to follow thru with the Tom Holmes pickups and the wait list?
