• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I am falling deeper and deeper into the Tele hole. I recently played a '56 Esquire and it smoked me. I love the binding on the Custom- puts me in the mind of Andy Summers.

I had a '52 BG visit for an extended period of time and a '52 Tele short of a dobro or square-neck National is the definition of a fat-necked guitar.

Mike, haven't you got a blond slab-board Telecaster kicking around in your collection too? (1959-62) I thought I saw a post of yours years ago about one?

If so, that would complete the standard pre-CBS "off the shelf" Tele variants, I think.

Mike, you truly have some stellar guitars! Love the BG's! The closest I came was a '58 Esquire.
