• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a set, and they are going nowhere. Maybe that's the vibe with owners elsewhere. They are distinct (positive sense) in tone, vs my other MXV's ...I'd sell the others first if I had to.

Yeah, exactly. I bought my set in 2008 (101+ with nos wire, and aged DMC II covers)

I'm not planning on selling them either! ;)

www.throbak.com is where you can purchase them from . I swear buy the ThroBak MXV-SLE-101 Plus with A5 magnets and I love them so much that I have them loaded in all 10 of my Gibson Les Paul's . Best pickups to my ears !

I have a set of double white vintage authentic (pre-MXV) SLE-101 LTDs that I'm using again. They weren't in anything a couple of years back and I tried to sell them (not at an exorbitant price, mind you) and no one seemed to want them. I'm sure at some point (maybe now), they'll be considered "unobtanium" and prices will skyrocket. That always seems to happen. :)
They're good pickups, but I don't see them as particularly "better" than the MXVs that I have in other guitars. YMMV
