Howdy

Ive done the Math, I also had another Engineer check me, I ran it through AI, Im serious about the AI , great for
Math and Physics.
To my surprise, Top wrapping gives a very small amount of tension relief at the same note value.

The way it turns out, the entire string length must be accounted for 24.75 + the distance and angle the string
makes from the tail piece to the saddles. It is very small .

take care and dont worry about top wrapping 11's wont feel like 10's

You don't need and engineer or AI  to do that.

I worked this out a while back. Just get a good calculator and plug in the numbers.

I was told there wouldn't be math in this job...
There always was the 'balancing the checkbook' issue.

Figuring the odds of the wife figuring oot you got one.

Playing the odds wit how pissed she'd be.

Now this.

No, my friend, maths is life.

Or death.

Angle between bridge and tailpiece modify tension strings near to saddles area, so bridge pickup sounds in a diferent way.

However maths are a strange thing.... Look like a part of a kind of rule that exists before big bang, maybe, could be..

Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty—a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music, yet sublimely pure, and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show.

Used top wrap for a year or so on two LPs and ES-335. Found out It killed the punch in the lower strings. Went back to normal, big difference.

Yeah, I like having the option of top wrapping. I do it occasionally and the guitars what I done it on play great.

BTW: Regarding the use of AI, my limited experience is it depends on how you word the question. On some questions I've had to carefully reword my question once or twice before AI could answer what I was asking. It's all good, just another day.

I've heard "Maths" plenty of times. Along with "Horsepowers" and I live in CO:) It is weird the first time you hear these. As a British chap will say, "we speak correct English."
