• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a VOS LP junior with the 3 on a plate kluson style tuners that say deluxe on the back. I was wondering what size the bore is on these? 1/4 (6mm)?

thanks

I haven't measured mine, but since they use the same kind of press-in bushings as the Kluson Deluxe style tuners on a standard, I'd assume the tuner holes to be 11/32 diameter (.344).

thanks. Thats what i would have thought, but these kluson look-a-likes say a 6mm (1/4) hole. They are not the exact same though, so i was just curious if anyone knew.

thanks again for the response

The POST DIA. is 6mm, but that wouldn't allow room for the bushing. Unfortunately, they don't specify the bushing diameter. I've found that an 11/32 hole will fit the bushings that Gotoh uses, but some of the Korean knockoffs will use a slightly smaller hole, around 21/64 (.328). Gibson uses Gotoh tuners.

I've adapted SLIGHTLY loose bushings to existing holes by wrapping the bushing with paper to close the gap, and securing the paper wrap with a bit of titebond, then glueing the paper wrapped bushing into the hole.

ahhhh, thank you very much for clearing that up! I didn't see that it was post diameter.
