• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Using an extra cab with TM 60....

I have a Vox 2x12 with Blues that I'm using with my Trademark 60 (solid state). The speakers are rated at 15 watts each and the amp is 60 watts. I'm plugging into the external speaker jack of the TM (which defeats the TM speaker). Both the cab and the speaker jack are 8 ohm. Is there any reason to be concerned with the mismatch in power?

I've been told that a better way to use the cab is to connect from the XLR output to a power amp then to the cab. What should the rating of the power amp be? Does this really work better?

Thanks
