Just trying to learn in my search… checking out a Custom Shop LP on Wildwood site. What is a V 2 neck ? My assumption, a soft V shape?

The "V" stands for "Version." In 2010, Gibson Custom offered the 50th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Reissues with three different neck profiles, which they referred to as "Version 1," "Version 2," and "Version 3." The Version 1 neck was, if I recall correctly, the equivalent of what you'd ordiniarily find on a 1959 reissue, whereas the Version 3 neck was more akin to the flatter neck typically found on a 1960 reissue. The Version 2 neck depth was somewhere between the two. Since those 50th Anniversary 2010 R-0's, Gibson has continued to sometimes offer reissues with these various "Version __" necks.

just bought one........24 ww 1960 with a v2.......very r9 feeling but less rounded.......it is not a slim taper neck..........v1=r9, V3=slim taper..........they are all a little different
Can you interpret? 24 ww ? You bought a Custom 1960? Or a Standard?
