• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Re: Restoring my 1960 'Burst 0-2453... need HELP..!! :)

Post some more of your personal videos as that might elevate this thread a little bit...:laugh2:. Obviously the experts here are really the only reason why this thread shouldn`t be nuked to oblivion! :rofl[If you don`t know, I am just kidding!]

Those videos are of Gareth, the seller.

:dh It`s grown old. If it does go on the market it needs to be listed for it is and NOT what it isn`t. If someone inquires here about it, then we can start over w/ the facts about it. It really doesn`t belong here any longer as it is not a real 'Vintage 1952-1960 Les Paul'--hell it`s never even been to America has it? Lock it up & also lock up whoever had this bogus guitar listed as 'the real deal'!

Easy, avert your eyes and don’t click on the bloody thread, is it that difficult?

its not as if the thread has entered your living room and won’t leave you alone

admit it, this thread is like a dirty tabloid that you wouldn’t normally read but since someone left it on the seat in front of you on the tube (subway) you can’t help yourself but to pick it up and have a nose at all the latest gossip. And now you feel guilty and want it locked up

This thread is what the Les Paul Forum does better than any other Forum on the internet, and it's in exactly the right sub-forum. The only thing I would consider is changing the title of the thread so more people who search our site could be informed as to what to look out for when purchasing an expensive, vintage Les Paul.:jim

Great idea Charlie!

Have just been re-reading the thread.... for old times sake..! Interesting to see how people were all helping with suggestions for the restoration until about post #22, when the heavyweights like JJ, Jumping Shads, sws1 and Vic D suddenly jump in and say things like "Hmmmm... Interesting"....!! And then it all goes pear-shaped for me LOL..!

Have another read when you get a bored lockdown minute...! :):hank:salude

Please don't refer to me as a heavyweight. That's insulting to those other people. Cheers

We went ahead and changed the title of the thread to make it a little easier for people searching the Forum for authentication tips to be able to find it.:jim

Hey guys, to save another 'victim' having to read through 23 pages and 900 comments of this thread to work out whether he's been ripped off or not, I thought I'd record a quick video to summarise the issues and things to look out for. If I've missed anything, please leave a short explanation in the youtube comment section (or below on this thread.... or both..!).

Finally, thanks once again to all contributors for your help and expertise... :):salude
