• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The Nina guess is a good one but you are wrong. Gee, I finally picked a hard one.:lol2

I probably better give you a clue. She was famous in the 70's and rose to fame backing another famous singer before cutting two excellent albums on her own. I have both and still listen to them. I guess I just have the music in me.

Hint: She had a song in 1974 that was real popular in clubs. It was one of those songs that you had to crank because she really belted it out.

Here is the first verse of the song. This should give it away.

Ain't got no trouble in my life
No foolish dream to make me cry
I'm never frightened or worried
You know I always get by.
I heat up
I cool down
Something gets in my way I go around it
Don't let life get me down
Gonna take it the way that I found it

By the way, the name of the song I posted the first verse to is "I've Got the Music In Me". Anyone here even remember that song?
