I really can't imagine this isn't a refin GT. I know Gibson made the first 58' Burst with an off-center seam but I don't believe they made this one in this color? If the guitar was sent back to Gibson for refin like the Rick Derringer 1957 GT (LUCY), Gibson changed all nickel to chrome because in the 60s that's what they had. Derringer sold the guitar because he felt they ruined it with the updates while refinishing was what he'd asked for.
This guitar has been known for a couple of decades now. It's in Beauty of the Burst. I'm pretty sure it's in Vic's 'Burst book too.
