I was wondering: does restoring a vintage or just old guitar with new pots and/or cap devalue it in any way?

A guitar with working new pots/caps is more valuable than a guitar with NON-working old pots/caps.
But having working old pots/caps is best.

It might depend on the level of restoration. And it can also depend on the guitar.
If all else is original except the pots and caps, it will make a difference.
