Wah and Fuzz

Wahfuzz day today.

I had my Wah and fuzz out and man these were fun.
I put the R4 in front of the RMC Picture Wah. The P90's were just great and sounded just like they should with a wah. Now the interesting part was putting the Sunface right behind. That Sunface really needs to be dialed in to get a great sound. That fuzz knob all the way up was full on in your face fuzz. Pull the R4 volume knobs up and you're really fuzzing.

The wah with this high a fuzz knob setting squeals. BUT if I back down the fuzz to about 1 o'clock, that is where it sounds great. I backed off the sunface knob to cut a little buzz like Analog Mike recommends and Wow, that just got it going on right there. (I like the big knobs. I can move them with my toes :) )

I was plugged into my Matchless and that was it.

Well I just wanted to show wah and fuzziness.

Hey any else doing the wahfuzz lately?

Have fun.
Peace.

No wah here Jim, but I do love P90's with fuzz...particularly the 73 Rams Head variant I'm using. Built by Stu Castledine of this very place.

The Fulltone '69 Pedal has an external Bias control. I turn that down just to where my wah works well with the pedal.

Yeah a fuzz is kind of picky on who sits in front of it. I definitely needed to play with it a little to get to just right.

That's interesting. The order used to be fuzz into wah. For Instance:

Ah yes, there it is. P90's have a certain something. Battery power only for that fuzz too. Analog Mike built the Sunface the same way
As a bit of aside on the wah angle Jim, I'm also experimenting ( another way of saying I haven't got a bloody clue what I'm doing...) with Fuzz and Analog Delay.

Newly arrived Endangered Audio Research AD4096 mkII....I reckon the space shuttle would be easier to pilot. Lots of features, lots of dials and rocker switches, and dip switches...combined with a quarterwits idea of things...what can possibly go wrong? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yeah I just had a "Well what would happen if..." kinda experiment day. Once I got it set just right. Oh yeah there it was.

I usually run a Dunlop Eric Johnson fuzz into a Vox wah and then into an Ibanez TS mini. Get the fuzz set right and it actually smooths out the Tube Screamer. Kick in the wah and all hell breaks loose!
