Anyone by chance try the DB neck in the bridge position, or is this pretty much the same as a Crossroads bridge wind?

I have and its better as a neck pup, imo... :)
To each his own though..
The DB bridge pup is very sensitive to height adjustments, so be sure and experiment.
I even tried different magz in it.

Emailed Jim, from what we discussed the DB neck and CR bridge is practically the same pickup...some overlap there. I'm checking into trying the CR set or maybe even the BetSet, all the clips are killer and I have a feeling that those are really "under the radar". Pete Thorn has the CR's in one of his LP's and I really dig those tones. I was supposed to be ordering those Wolfetone Legends but he seems pretty busy right now as hasn't been overly anxious to take my money, hahaha!

The bet set sounds very good. I might also recommend looking into pairing the dakburst neck with the god wood bridge. With that pair you really seem to get the best of both worlds on each pickup position. Have fun!

I've had the CR neck, Darkburst bridge combo and while good, I'm looking to go with a lower wind. Hence the original post about using a DB neck in the bridge.

I've done this some years ago and got a nice spanky tone, lot brighter than Darkburst bridge, but had nothing to par on the neck... really cool trebly tone... since I'm looking for a lower wind set. (see my topic about RS Psychebilly's as well).
