• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

We hear a lot about Super Strat's what about Super Les Paul's?

I just heard the Kramer Assault which sounds awesome and is basically the same idea as the super strat - 24 frets, floyd rose and humbuckers which LP's tend to have anyway.

I was curious if anyone has experience with other types of LP shaped guitars that would fit the bill?

Epiphone have prophecy series although it is a shame they didn't throw FR on them.

I've heard that Charvel makes double cutaway electric guitars that look similar to the double cutaway Les Pauls.

Compare the designs of those 2 guitars and you'll see why I said that.

Not like a Les Paul, but the Charvel 750XL was shaped like a Jackson Soloist, had a thick mahogany body and maple cap like a Les Paul, 24.75 scale, locking trem, 24 frets. Shawn Lane used one on Powers of Ten.
