THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING!
We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!
I had a lot of problems with that model in a Twin Reverb. You would think from it's description it would work just great but I found it buzzy and sizzley. I even had Weber recone the pair ( I must say they were great to deal with and it had been almost a year since I bought them). Still they sounded like ass. So, I swapped them (plus a little cash) for a Blue bell and a Silver bell Ceramics and now it sounds like a million bucks! Make no mistake I crank this pig up and it sounds like hell at your front door! They handle all the power of the 100 watt Twin and they're only 30 watt rated. What were you looking to get from them? Clearity? Less breakup?
I tried their C12N in my Boogie and it was horrible. Crappy top end in the overdrive mode, ok in the clean mode. This same speaker is god in a Fender combo even with an overdrive pedal. Funny how different they can be. Weber is great to deal with. Very good customer service. Sorry, no experience with the CA model.
