• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What’s your most Basic simple rig ?

You have a Les Paul.
if you could have one vintage amp
And 3 or 4 classic effects — what would they be to get the job done? Thanks

I've been entertaining getting a Gibson Les Paul Amp. I think the model number is GA-40T. It's the one with a 10 inch and 8 inch speaker combo. I have 60's Les Paul and what would "be cooler" than to play it thru a amp of the same time period.

My Les Paul and a Deluxe reverb will do fine! It's what I use when I go out to play, although I admit, I do occasionally use an Overated special to add some boost and cut the bass a bit. Reverb and Vibrato come free with the amp, so maybe a wahwah to top it off, but that's more than enough for me :)
I have more than enough amps to choose from but the deluxe reverb always delivers.

My '75 Marshall JMP, most likely. Maybe with a Klon / Klone - I have a Soul Food that give just a hair more oomph.
Or my Bedrock 1200-series, with a couple dirt boxes and my Deluxe MEmory Man.
