THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING!
We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!
Last week (and out of nowhere) his song "Gris Gris" popped into my head. What a tripped out, trippy song! Love it! Brought back memories of listening to it back in the day on WKNR-FM in Detroit. After listening to the mentioned song I started checking out his other work. Found a compelation of his performances on "Letterman" from the 80's and 90's as well as other things and man, what have I been missing all these years? Love his music.
Been checking out a lot of their music lately as well.
If you haven't read Mike Campbells book "Heartbreaker" I highly recommend it. I was surprised how long it took them to get some traction going. Lots of downs along the way.
