Funny...my '60s band is picking up these two songs:

The Doors - Break On Through
The Rivieras - California Sun

Totally different sounds right?

Funny thing is...I've found I can totally nail both of them with my recently acquired R4 with P90s. Krieger's sound is neck-pickup, edge-of-breakup, no-brainer. Then just switch to bridge pickup, dial the volume back a bit, and turn the reverb up for the Rivieras.

Dire Straits was always better live. Saw them a few times. There he is with that Pensa. Sounds great.
