• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What color are these new Guitar Center R0's?

I absolutely love it; but I don't know what it's called.
Is is a darkburst?
Is it a bourbon burst?
Or, is it a brockburst?
What is it? It is gorgeous.

As far as I can tell, that striking sunburst is peculiar to the G0 series. I never heard the official Gibson name. I've had this since Dec 07 and I am liking it.

That's the one. I stopped into to GC(the music store that apparently never sleeps)today, 4th of July and though geez, that might be one of the most beautiful burst colors I've ever seen. Is that considered a brockburst or not?

Tommy, those are my father's WW2 ribbons, etc. My sister mounted them in that cabinet for me for my last birthday.

How much was or is it ?

Mid two's, or there abouts Miz. It was seriously beautiful, didn't play it though.
Those GC 60's always felt different to me versus regular RO's, and I don't think it was my imagination, slightly different specs I believe,
neck shape, possible flatter top. I'll pay it another visit on Sat. and Ill report back to you guys tomorrow.

I was wondering how the one on eBay is priced vs. GC price.

I stopped back today, the GC "darkburst" R0 was marked $2495.00.
The strings were SO dead it wouldn't be fair to judge playability.
But, that color literally stops me in my tracks every time. I find myself having to stare at this guitar everytime to see it.

It's probably the pix, because that's the guitar; but the the two I've seen had that dulled VOS finish. That one looks more glossy.

The VOS film was removed. I do that to all I get that has the sticky crap on it.

They are stickey aren't they.
It's a tip off when your Les Paul can double for flypaper.

Ha Ha you have that right!
I hate that stuff, I remove it first chance I get at least off the finish.
