• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What does the triangle F5? under the serial number mean?

This is on the headstock of a 1979 The Paul? Any cause for concern? TIA

If I’m not mistaken, that triangle is the A in the phrase “MADE IN U. S. A.”

It could also be the triangle of the Free Masons and the guitar could have some association with the Illuminati. It’s hard to know.

But it’s definitely the A from “MADE IN U. S. A.”.
You should have no concerns whatsoever.

Thanks a million for the reply. I was wondering if it was indicating the guitar was a second (if that's the correct term for imperfection).
