Anyone have time for games or is all your spare time taken playing guitar and doing the household chores? :wah

For the gamers here, what type of games do you play? (eg. sporting, RPG's, FPS or strategy etc) ...and what platform? (Xbox, Playstation, PC etc).

I assume the majority of members here are in the 35-55 year old demographic? ...anyone over 50 playing games that aren't related to golf or flight simulation?

How many of you play online games?

I'm asking these questions out of curiosity moreso than research... just interesting to see how you fill your spare time and if games are an important part of your recreational time :)

Well, Im 24 but...

In real life I play Tennis (avidly) and Bowling. Also a big fan of board/card games; Cribbage, canasta, poker, Uno, sorry, stratego, chess, battleship, monopoly, scrabble, trivial pursuit, Mrs. Burns' Dictionary, and probably a million more.

In virtual life I play Timesplitters, Final Fantasy Games, Mario Kart, Mario, Zelda, GTA (rarely), and currently Brain Age. and again probly a million more.

I rarely play games on the internet because i havent seen too many free ones that are any good (plus im on a Mac).

But if its not too offensive check this out (i laughed my ass off... Pun intended)! Click Here!

My son has a PS2, but I never play any games on it.

I am trying out an online game called BAT RACER. Judging by your avatar, Red Baron, you'd like this game too.

I play golf April through October, the weather here in the Delta
doesn't allow for much more than that.

I will usually go to the used game store and buy a one or two year old
copy of Madden xx. The last one I bought was $3.50. I'll play that 10 or 12 times over the winter then start playing golf again in April.

I used to have a PS2, but once I started working from home I sold it. It's too easy to lose 3 or 4 hours to Grand Theft Auto.

I had to stop playing Microsoft solitaire because my hand was starting to hurt really bad.

I dabbled in shooters, drivers and RPGs back in the bad old days (16 bit color on an Amiga!) but basically just play solitaire while waiting for stuff to download now. Other than that, real world word games like Pictionary with the kids (now grown) and a few rounds of golf... We have a PS2, but the kids use that when they're home (GTA, Halo, driving games, RPGs).

Not much time anymore, used to do online games a lot starting back with Ultima Online, Everquest, WoW. Played a round of "Rise of Nations" yesterday, 1st game I'd played in probably like 3 months

My brother was level designer for World of Warcraft and offered me a free account. I was like 'dude, I'll be homeless within a month if I start playing that!'

I'm a game junky. I have been since I got my first PC back in 1987. Anybody remember the original Wolfenstein.

I just got a new machine (PC). I'm attempting Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Rainbow 6: Lockdown. My computer will run them, but GRAW is brutal (even in easy mode), Lockdown seems to be a typical FPS.

Mind games. All my spare time is spent lost in my mind and slowly going crazy. The only time I'm too busy to play mind games is when I play my guitar. Thank the maker!

Funny you should mention Batracer, I just discovered it myself a few days ago... I love racing sims, definitely my favourite type of game, but just don't get a lot of time to sit down and play them anymore.
