• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What gear are we working with?! PICS?!

I am relatively new to TLPF, and I just thought a good way to "break the ice" would be for me to share some of my gear with the community . In an effort to get to know some of you, I would appreciate any replies that include pics of whatever gear you guys in the community are sporting and/or anything else you might want to share.

Mostly run LP's but do run an SG and Warmoth strat sometimes, pedal board is Plethora x5, wah wah and shure wireless. Cabs are loaded with mojotone watch towers and old Marshall has original greenies. LP's are 78 Deluxe (routed), 16 Traditional, 19 Classic, and 80 Standard..

08DC2C18-892F-45BB-8456-7A618DC73BFA.jpegside-on pics of most of my guitars. I have Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, basses… not shown are my Martin acoustics.
Amps are easier to see. Missing is my ‘66 Fender Vibro Champ - it’s in the shop right now. Also in that pic are a couple other guitars - my father-in-law’s Silvertone bass, and my relish Danelectro.
Plus my pedal stable.

Welcome! I'll bet the Les Paul standard through the Recto is something to behold!

My main guitars are 4 Les Pauls:

2002 LP Standard lightburst with Monty's PAFs
1989 LP Standard goldtop with bigsby & Lollar Imperials
1972 LP Custom ebony
2015 LP Deluxe goldtop with Creamery mini-humbuckers / Gibson P90s (I switch them!)

590DlEZl.jpg

I also play the following regularly:

2002 PRS McCarty (new acquisition)
Sunburst Hardtail Strat Partscaster w/licenced Fender neck
Hagstrom Viking Deluxe - white
Fender Mexican Strat with Floyd Rose - modified as an Alex Lifeson Pork Flapsocaster replica
Fender Lite Ash Strat - modified to be an Alex Lifeson Hentor Sportscaster replica
Fender Lite Ash Tele (with Dimarzio Area T Hot and a custom neck pickup)
Parker Fly Classic - cherry red

Some of the above...
HCJoB8pl.jpg

NFu1Umul.jpg

I also have a handful of other guitars and Yamaha and Takamine acoustics

For amps I primarily play a Kemper Profiler as I have small children in the house, it's also fantastic to use live particularly as I run acoustics and electrics through it.

I also have...

Mesa Boogie Studio .22 Combo
Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp + 20/20 Power Amp
Laney GH100L (single channel british gain)
Fender Blues Junior IV Tweed
Marshal Club & Country Combo (my Alex Lifeson Moving Pictures amp)
HH IC100S head (my mid-70s Steve Hackett amp)

Some of the above including pre-modified Lite Ash strat:

Also a whole cupboard full of pedals including a range of fuzz pedals. My favourites are:

Archer Ikon (Klon replica)
Marshall Superfuzz Clone (Mk II tonebender ish)
JSH Super (supafuzz clone)
DAM Tonemaster (tonebender 2 & rangemaster in one pedal)

Sorry, but I don't have a family photo.

My '72/'54 Limited Edition that my parents bought for me in '73 ($300.00) from one of the best, if not the best, local players around:

P48mlDZ.jpg

My '76 Deluxe that I bought in '77 ($400.00) from a high school friend:

sfoEFx6.jpg

Didn't look like this when I bought it of course; still had the mini's in it. Shortly after I bought it, I put DiMarzio SDs in and several years ago, I replaced those with Bare Knuckle PG Blues.

My '08 Alex Lifeson "Inspired By" ES-355 that I bought when they were released:

DY7BnHp.jpg

I wanted one of these ever since I saw Alex walk out on stage with it on the "a farewell to kings" tour back in '77.

My '11 Frampton (my favorite player!) that I bought new in '11:

QrLp7mN.jpg

I'd wanted one of these ever since Humble Pie released "Humble Pie Performance Rockin' The Fillmore", in '71. Of course that was pre white/cream poker chip/pup covers and gold "Speedies". Frampton's is still my all-time favorite LP (and favorite player. Did I mention that already? 🤣).

My '13 R9 that I bought from House of Guitars in '13:

LIDW6yN.jpg

My '14 "Wes Montgomery" (my favorite Jazz player) L-5 that a I bought a few years ago:

mp9UGbb.jpg

My '01 MIA Strat that I bought in '06

dSUieou.jpg

My '11 Martin D-35 that I bought new:

c4lDNsI.jpg

Missing is my '06 Washburn D10S-N that I bought new.

For amps:

As you could see in the pictures above, my '12 YJM100 that I bought new:

nRfOB0L.jpg

I'm not an Yngwie fan myself (not that there's anything wrong with being one), it's just that this amp has about everything I could ever want.

This is the amp I use the most; my '04 1974X that I bought in '11:

WTgqTys.jpg

It was a special run for GC's 40th Anniversary. I changed the grill cloth several years ago to Eric Collins' grill cloth, which is supposed to be the "True Bluesbreaker Pinstripe" cloth (so he advertises), used on the original Marshall Bluesbreakers.

Lastly, my '11 Marshall C5-01:

SYQKDja.jpg

And finally, my pedalboard:

SiEMxwy.jpg

Missing are my Catalinbread "Belle Epoch" and my TC Electronics "Ditto (stereo) Looper" (I think that's it?).

I'm amazed by the quality of the photos and the attention some of you pay to documenting "your stuff." Well done! I've got way too much crap (and too little patience) to do that myself. But here are a few photos of some of my favorites.

First my mid-50s Valco-made National Professionals. The 4x10 is model 1299 and the 1x15 is the 1215.

I could keep going...but this is the stuff that I use most. Well...actually, I've also got a Fractal AX8 and an Atomic CLR cab and I've been gigging them steadily for the last 3 years or so...but no photos to speak of.
