• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What (guitar) is Ronnie Wood playing here?

That's some classic, great tone, considering a not so great video track.

There is some non-standard stuff going on with that guitar. Looks like a flat fretboard end, and vol/tone knobs are small and black. That pooints to possibly being a custom or prototype for the Johnny Smith model.

More research just found me this photo. The guitar does have a flat fretboard end and a script logo making it either a 1943-1947 with added pickup, or a custom reissue made in the 90s.

Thanks a lot guys for all your input and informations.

Wilko, I remember that photo.
And IIRC I did not see the pic from back then but it was a video.
And if my memories are not fooling me Keith and Ronnie told in that vid how old these guitars
they were playing here are.
I think I remember that about Ronnie's they said it was from the 1940ies.
Please don't nail me on that. I'm turning 70 this July and maybe my memories start fading.
