• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What have you bought guitar-related in the last 48 hours?

Guitar show going on here tomorrow, so | packed up a couple guitars I don't use m,uch to see if I can get anything for them -
Early impotr BC Rich Mockingbird (has BC RICO on the headstock - I know there weren't many made, but I don;t know how collectible (or not|) it is, or value.)
and Epi Dot (es335) with a few mods. Not sure what that's worth either - I see them on Ebay for a huge range of pricing.

this one showed up while we were arses and elbows deep in moving boxes, got quickly checked out and stashed away. Finally got around to taking pics today, 2 weeks after it showed up. Really, that long ago? Seems like 5 minutes. Anyway.

2021 Epiphone James Jared Nichols (still don't really know who he is) Gold Glory version of his P-90 Old Glory Les Paul Custom with a single pickup. This has a HUGE neck, even bigger than the Joe Bonamassa I had. Surprisingly light, best I'll be able to do is a bathroom scale check until I find the postage scale again.

I had thought the binding on the back was plain but I was mistaken. It is a multi-ply just like the top. I still haven't plugged it in yet, my brother's sick today. Maybe tomorrow. Very loud acoustically, sweet and bright. I can't wait to hear it through an amp.

Bought a new Audio Technica turntable so I can listen to my Dad's record collection. The collection that began my love for electric guitar, The Allman Brothers Band, and classic rock.

His original, 1st printing pink label copy of 'At Fillmore East' is about 6 feet away, awaiting that day so it can be played again, after sitting dormant the last 25 yrs. It's a small collection but he's got some good ones in here. Eat A Peach. ZZ Top - Fandango, BB King, 15 Gregg/Allman Bros albums, and about 60 or 70 other albums.

I cant freakin wait!

This wasn't in the last 48 hrs but I'll list it anyway. I built a Fuzz Face on a breadboard and ordered everything to make it a permanent circuit and install it into an enclosure last week.

-Housing
-PNP & NPN fuzz face pcb's from a place in the UK
-2 - 3pdt footswitches
-A potentiometer kit with 6 different values of potentiometer and 5 trimpots.
-Soldering tweezers that auto close and you have to hold them open, opposite of normal tweezers and curved hemostats
-Small, copper smooth jaw alligator clips used as heat sinks when soldering

Pretty sure I'm missing something else

Edit: I remember. I also picked up a daisy chain to run 3 extremely low amperage pedals off the same supply. The each use less than 10mA per pedal so I bought the daisy chain to run them all off of a single 300mA supply becsuse I had 1 supply point and 3 pedals needing power. Had they needed more than 30mA total, I'd have just purchased a 2nd power supply.

I bought some 9v battery snap clips to DC plug adaptors. I hate wall warts and power supplies. I have at least 2 pedals, possibly 3 that do not have battery compartments. If they can't work on batteries, I'm selling them.

Got this from Amazon recently.

With so many conflicting tasks on my plate, I haven't even plugged it in yet. Our dog threw up twice in one day, and he seemed to be scared of the construction outside the home. He does more barking in front of the TV than he does outside. I could make a million bucks selling a Bow Wow Bender Pedal for guitar, using recorded loops from the dog in your life. Can dogs change the pitch of their bark, or do I need to use an octave bender?

Dan, I picked up one of these from wildwood, 699 shipped.

I am stunned At how good sounding it is. It will hang with any guitar I have owned, don’t be afraid to use the volu and tone knobs. The diversity of the one pickup exceeds my expectations. The neck measures .92 which is pretty big.

just a huge bang for your buck, a gig worthy, fun, toneful guitar.

If we can extend the timeframe to the beginning of the month, I picked this up at the Dallas guitar show:

Very not a JJN fan (not sure why...) but I did see a piece in Premier Guitar or Vintage Guitar, that he's got a signature amp from Blackstar coming out, that seems to tick all the boxes for what I might be looking for.
low wattage, footswitch channels, so on and so forth. Looking forward to checking it out.

JHS 3 Reverb Pedal. Very straight forward- no calculus required.
