What is a vintage Gibson guitar?

For better or worse, there isn't a yardstick to define a 'vintage guitar as such, as there isn't a governing body( like FIFA is to football) , to put any guidelines in place..
Anyone who says "Oh, its Pre 1960" or "Its Pre Norlin" or 'Pre 1994' (30 yrs ) are all correct i quess..albeit they`re just making it up as they go.Theyre no authority on the matter.
In 100 yrs time, my 1991 (in my opinion ) will be well beyond vintage..It will be Antique based on 'MY' definition.
