• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

What is this finish called?

Lacquer. :) (Sorry, couldn't resist)

You probably want to know the color? Ice tea sunburst maybe? Not sure. Looks nice!

It depends on who took the picture.
If I took it, don't count on it being an accurate representation of the actual colour. I've posted a couple of picture of mine recently. I'm sight impaired. I used a decent digital camera on auto settings with flash and the colours were a long way off what the guitars actually look like in the room.if it's your guitar, I'll assume you took a good photo. If it's a random pne off the net, all bets are off.

I haven't seen the guitar. Hopefully soon. Yeah, I get your point.

What does it say on the inspection tag or original box?
There is in most cases a designation code ( LPS******, or LPR**** for example)
If that came with the guitar ofcourse.

The edge portion looks a little too dark brown to be a Lemon fade or even an Iced Tea. However, the interior portion does appear to be a Lemon Burst. Very unusual, but still very nice!

It looks like what they called their Golden Poppy Burst for the 60th anniversary 59 Les Paul. :dude:
