• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I have a delta blues that has been retubed with tung sol's.It's the 210 type, and I want to do a speaker change now.I've asked this question a few years ago. I was just wondering if anything new has come along since.I want to keep it in a bluesy tone. The stock marvels don't seem to have any tone or depth to them.

Is the amp like a tweed Super? Check out some AlNiCos... Weber, Scumbacks, and I think Celestions making an AlNiCo Gold as well.

Weber Silver Bell Alnico, 20W, light dope (due to open back). Save the old speakers.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth spending a couple hundred dollars on speakers for an amp that is only worth $300.

Don't get me wrong, I used to play a Delta 1-15 at an open Blues Jam a number of years ago. Nice sounding amp with a Strat.

I'd stick with the stock speakers.

I have two 4x12 cabs loaded with Heritage Celestion G12M 20w that I wouldn't trade for anything... well, maybe not anything!!!
