• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Whatever happened to Keith's Alnico Custom?

I have always wandered where that guitar ended up, or if he still has it...

Yes. I can ask Andy, but he may still have it.

Wow guys, if you can dig up any more info that would be awesome!

I was watching some Stones live videos I have last night and just remembered the guitar :)

It's a 1954 custom with a p90 in the bridge and a Alnico V in the neck.
The story is that he gave it away, or left it in a shop somewhere in Canada, but no one really knows..

Redacted. Apparently should not have mentioned my source. Poor judgment on my part.

Apologies to all.

I promise you, vintage/famous guitars are like driftwood, they will always show up on shore.
Sometimes the worse for wear but they will always have a "story"

The book arrived today!

It is incredible...so many pics, and the particular Les Paul Custom is in there.

According to the book, it is a '57 :)

Oh. I hope Babiuk did a better job than he did with the Beatles gear book. That thing was a joke.

I quite enjoyed the Beatles book, and the Grateful Dead one. Looking forward to this one
