Alnico V's are significantly hotter, very biting. If you've ever played a Symour duncan '59 pickup, you'll know what alnico V sounds like, vs something like a gibson 57 classic or burstbucker, which uses Alnico II. I, however, haven't played any BB pros, so i'm just offering what I know.
